i know ebay sux and all, but somebody is selling almost every Hickey and Yogurt comp CD and some other Miami/Off The Pigs/Hickey-related stuff on there...i had never actually seen most of them before, other than on the discography page (except the Mission ACCOMPlished and some of the newer stuff)...and they're all at like a dollar! And, since the complete Hickey discography is never going to happen (anyone notice that the curse has happened again with the Various States re-release?), I'm pickin' the stuff up on the cheap.
Now, if only I can pick up the VBF split for a dollar!! (that is the only vinyl i have never seen in real life...so incomplete I feel) 😞

Wow, this is some great shit.It brings back so many memories. I don't reminisce about the old days but this guestbook got me to break out all my Fuckboyz stuff,I'm gonna lock myself in my garage and listen to them. Some names on here that I havnt heard of in years. Matty had a god given gift for music and its nice to see how many lives he touched. He had a big influence in my life as well. So many stories. This site is awsome, Glad I found it. Thanks

hm well that didn't work...i'm not quite sure how to transfer files aside from thru AIM...
mikey August 6, 2005 at 3:53 PM
if anyone is more technically inclined on using itunes for a mac, lemme know, i have the file all up in my face n' shit and i can't figure out how to get it up in this bitch. help!!
Brad August 8, 2005 at 9:08 PM
You won't be able to upload the file to this guestbook. You can email the file (if it is small enough - under 10mb) to stuff@mattyluv.com. Otherwise send an email there and we can see about getting the file another way (maybe through AIM.)
brad August 9, 2005 at 8:02 PM
mike, thanks. i put it up on the discography page.

i'm going to look for my "back asswards" comp with the original "food stamps" recording on it tomorrow, but i can only convert it to m4a not mp3 to send it to the site... will y'all be able to convert that m4a to an mp3 for the non-Mac peeps can luv it up too?

i have Love Songs covering "...squares at my funeral" too.
brad August 6, 2005 at 10:32 AM

Geez, no kidding. What a coupla years of meth and almost 8 years of graveyard shifts at the Lusty do to you. I didn't even recognize myself. I look more constipated than bored.

Hi everyone. In order to reduce the amount of SPAM messages that end up on here, I've added some modification to the guestbook. Now in order to post a message you have to answer a "HUMAN VERIFICATION" field. The answer is MATTY. It even tells you the answer is MATTY right above the field.

The idea is that most of the people that SPAM guestbooks are "bots" and not people, so they won't know the answer to the field - until they are re-programed to do so. We'll see if it works. Hopefully it won't cause too much trouble for actual people who want to post to this guestbook.

Thanks,
Brad

hey thanks for putting everything up on here, i lost all my records when mission rex imploded and my tapes are all warped so it's really nice to have access to the music that means so much to me. one thing though, hickey is about long hair and getting high, not laid. that was always more of an afterthought.

Still not sure I am ready to do this despite 3 years of visiting this site.

I think I am the only person with a recording of Matty (age 16) playing "Little Drummer Boy/Silent Night".

We sat there and analyzed the scooter over the cliff scene of "Quadrophenia"
endlessly.

Difford and Tillbrook?

If I had a rocket launcher, some son of a bitch would die.

Arg. I've had the hardest time uploading sound files. My computer sucks. Anyway, I'm splitting the radio show into a bunch of different tracks (right now) instead of the single 30-minute one I have repeatedly failed to be able to upload. Hopefully that'll work...there's some classic dialogue about pussy truckers and hippy frat boys on this one, lemme tell ya...
