on the probe records site it says the vgs/hickey split is sold out. bummer! im from riverside(where vgs is from) and i think they are annoying as hell. could you put the mp3s up im dying to hear it. or if there is some place to get the 7" i would love to pay for it.

one time i spent christmas on speed, hanging out at starcleaners with matty and dory and the drivers. there was an acoustic show. it totally felt like family.

I knew Matt way before the Fboyz. I took the picture here on his roof at the time. Matt was a great person to hang with. I never understood his change to Matty Luv and the drug culture but he was driven to be who he was going to be. My condolences to everyone who knew him.

the first time i saw hickey was at a big show at the capp st. warehouse. they played last and i was so impressed by their awesome songs and stage presence. they played like five songs then talked and rambled for ten minutes. matty said, "are there any undercover cops here tonight? we need to make rent, so... [said super fast] wehavedrugsforsaletalktousaftertheset... [back to regular talking] one, two, three, four..." they played two more songs and that was it. i thought, that's the best band i've ever seen.
years later i was in tulsa and the guy i stayed with had a videotape of hickey playing there, but we couldn't watch it cuz he didn't have an adapter or something. he said hickey was the most popular touring band that ever came through tulsa.
also i remember the last (i think, third)time i saw them, at the chameleon with lost goat and mensclub, people i knew who had seen them a bunch were complaining cuz matty acted like a rock star on stage and their set was always the same... like they were getting boring or something. not too long after that they didn't play out anymore.

oh wait, it's just a link to buy pharmacuetical speed. nevermind, that's pretty cool, i guess. a little pricey though.

hello everybody. haven't had a computer in a while and wanted to check up on the site. i miss the days when hickey would roll through town. something was gonna happen everytime and even that jamaican psychic lady cloey couldnt predict what. anyways for the hollidays how about we dont make matty a commodity and we just remember him as an artist, a revolutionary, and a friend. rnr.

wow, just found this site lookin for any hickey stuff on the internet. reading the probe and hearing hickey made a big change in my life (shit... that's about 9 years ago!). just dug out some records today which i hadn't listened to in ages and realised how great they were. anyway, well done to everyone involved in putting this site together... r.i.p.
