oh my goodness, this spamming must be stopped.
BEEN LISTENING TO YOGURT ALOT(THANX JOE)
ABSOLUTE GENIUS. EVERY TIME I HEAR SOMETHING I DIDN'T HEAR BEFORE.
THANKX MATTY
This is from "question THAT" zine
Q: why don't more rock and roll bands cover hickey songs?
A: cause every "rock and roll" band playing right now, be it the gamblers, machine gun, or even the pansy ass dwarves, you name it. they're fuckin chicken. wreckless is done. danger is gone. cute girls, and studded belts are rule one. and besides that, i firmly believe this, bands like hickey, and people like matty, they wrote songs that not only stood up and said, "here we are, we're your problem" they did so purely to spit in your eye. it's hard to spit in people's eye when you're too worried about selling a belt buckle.
I give MACAU mint sets, subjects at my
discretion (NO WANT-LIST), calculating
at face value. In return, I want worldwide
pictorial stamps , no matter duplicates,
BUT,none of damaged, small-size or
cancelled-to-order types, calculating
at about 10 Macau Patacas per 100 copies.
I give 8 MACAU viewcards, in exchange,
I ask for 100 large-size, undamaged stamps.
Write: Ngan Kei Chi, Apartado 372,
MACAO / MACAU. (ASIA)
Im going to about 20 days of the Warped Tour...
dont ask why.
i thought it would be fun to "educate" some
confused young punks so ill be handing out
copies of 'waiting in exile for babylon's fall'
(the pocket sized hickey zine).
so... if you find yourself for some terrible
reason at the Warped Tour, look for the
dirty punks with the hickey zines and the
earplugs.

Just stopped by to say hi. 😃
the first time i saw hickey i was 13. it was also the first time i ever got drunk. it was a party at the pill hill zoo house in oakland. matty spent what seemed an eternity tuning his guitar and then announced that it would be an all grindcore set. after the first 30 second song someone yelled "you fucking tuned for that?!" i believe it was one of their first shows. i still have my hickey sticker from that show ... my first house show, first experience with that magical elixer we call beer, and my first encounter with the wonderful and joyous and funtastical naked cult of hickey.
aesop, i m sending you sum digital footage of a hickey show in biloxi.. i ll put it in the mail tomorrow. hope all is well.
hey everyone. In true Hickey fashion I am only writing because I want or need your help. I am putting together a hickey dvd along with Will of Risk Records. I have quite a bit of footage but could use more. If you have have any video of hickey please send a copy to 112 Shotwell
San Francisco, Ca.

Even if you don't have any footage but want to send a tape of yourself saying what Hickey means/meant to you or an amusing hickey related anecdote ala those lame VH1 behind the music things, that would rule, just make sure to send along your name so I can include it. In other news. Ludicra (my post hickey band) just finished their 2nd record with sonic god Billy Anderson. We are still shopping for a label, but have gotten alot of offers, this should be out late 2004/early 2005. My son, Ezra Lux turns 3 in 3 weeks and has been driving me and his mom, Robyn, crazy. Like always everyone and anyone is encouraged to write me for any reason. Take care y'all and R.I.P. Kai.
hi everyone. there's a listing for Matty on an online cemetery:

i got to san fancisco and saw leftover crack down the block at mission records - matty was the first person to actually be a hand of friendship, the only one to share the maddog - i'd get the first bottle of md 20/20 and he'd stamp my hand for the show, and then he'd get the second so we were both fucked. best 4 dollar drunk you can find, banana red. so he pretended to be my boyfriend while i watched the door for a minute and was the most genuinely nice person i met the whole time on the west edge. the night he died on I was on the other ocean - i met a boy who said "oh, isn't the lead singer of hickey dead?" and I was horrified - woke up with my first hickey and the worst message on my answering machine. no one here knew what the fuck i was talking about. but i'm glad i didn't know who hickey was when i met him, so i wouldn't be too scared to talk about throwin rotten vegetables. but i should have payed some homage. anyways, i don't know where sara is but i hope she's doing alright...there's not many girls that way. and i got various states in the mail yesterday, since the MvP sleeps to much too send the package, and I've been playing it nonstop eversince. its never loud enough.
I was talking to my roommate in SF the other day. He said he had to throw out some of my plants. I said that's OK, just don't throw out any of the Hickey fliers in the bathroom. He said I could just get new ones on E-Bay. I said that's not funny. Then I laughed.
I was just at amoeba berkeley and in the used H section there's 3 or 4 copies of the Various States CD on SPAM for $5.99 if anyone still needs one.
Just letting everyone know there's a copy of the Hickey/Fuckface split up for one more day on e-bay. Already got one myself, but figured it'd be a good opportunity for anyone without it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4004793080&category=306
